Looking around for ideas I have come across lots of weddings where the bride and groom give their own personal touch to the place where they will be sitting at the reception.
Some choose a more classic and romantic style, like hanging a bouquet on the back of their chairs with their name or initials. In other weddings they are more adventurous and they come up with fun and original ideas such as pumpkins with the initials bride and groom, giant initials, cushions or ribbons with the colours of the wedding.
These are just some suggestions but I am sure you can come up with lots of ideas by just letting your imagination fly and thinking about things you like.

Spanish “mantillas” are a great tradition here in Spain. Women used to wear them to all social acts and nowadays it is usually the mother of the groom who wears it on the wedding day. But more and more often you see brides wearing them on their special day.
Mantillas have lovely embroidered work and laces that make your wedding dress stand out, as they are very elegant and romantic, they would also give a Spanish flair to your wedding day. Traditionally it was worn with a sort of comb but we now find it in the showrooms of the great designers in a variety of designs: in the form of short veils, tied around the head…
The best thing is that you have a look at the photos and tell me which one you like. I think they are all lovely !

I love flowers at a wedding. I would have flowers everywhere so why not for the bride´s hairdo? I think brides with flowers as part of their hairdo look lovely and cute. Flowers are very elegant and natural, specially if you choose a simple hair style.
I want to show you some photos of real brides. Some wear natural flowers (my favourite!) and others flowers made from material, that are also very pretty. So why not have a look at them and tell me what you think about them.

We all know that one of the most important days in the life of a couple and that of their family and friends is their wedding day. On their wedding day miles of feelings and situations take place, from the most intimate moments when you are alone with yourself and your feelings, the hustle and bustle of getting ready and finally the moments of exitement and shared joy and happiness.
Alberto Serna has the sensibility to capture all these instances in a subtle and elegant way, with the deepest respect to feelings and intimacy. His photos are natural, they reflect the emotions of the day through the adequate use of colour and light, he even inserts black and white photographs to accentuate the intense feelings the couple and their loved ones are going through.
We should add that both Isabela and Javier were absolutely delighted with Alberto´s work and how he treated them, and that is something that defines a good professional. I recommend you visit his blog to learn more about his work.
Thanks to all three, Alberto, Isabela and Javier; for sharing this special day with us.

It is more and more common everyday in weddings to have a table for desserts (cup cakes, homemade biscuits…). In a previous post I talked about how to lay out the tables, today I am going to show you some pictures of cake plates, stands, trays etc you could use to give your wedding a more vintage touch.
Old fashion iron made trays are ideal for a vintage or rustic wedding. Another idea is to combine china plates with different floral motifs on them. Alongside the plates and trays you could put china vases, cups or any other original vintage objects in the same colour scheme. Flower arrangements also look very nice. And if you are thinking of an outdoor wedding, with a rustic touch, why not go for tree trunks arrangements?
What do you think about them? Nice, aren´t they?

There was no need for a royal wedding to value the incredible work of these three designers, already worldknown and prestigious, the Irish Philip Treacy, British Stephen Jones and Spanish Candela Cort.
The way they envisage their work and creations is something absolutely fabulous because of all the beauty and magic in each design. With their talent and the aid of their hands they transform every single feather, piece of material …. into an incredible piece of art. Beautiful in its design and choice of colours. In a previous post, talking about Spanish hat designers, we mentioned how important it is to feel happy and identified with the hat you wear. You must feel the most beautiful woman in the world when you wear it, and I am sure you are bound to feel identified and inspired by one or more of the designs we are going to show here.
They say an image is sometimes worth more than a thousand words so just go ahead and browse through their webpages and have a look at their collections. I also recommend you to read their biographies and interviews as they are a real insight into their interesting lives and rich, particular views on design and fashion.
