Today´s post is a beautiful and unique story, the story of Eva and Angel´s wedding. This lovely couple got married at the end of July, in their hometown Málaga. Love is in the air - a beautiful sunset!

We all know that one of the most important days in the life of a couple and that of their family and friends is their wedding day.  On their wedding day miles of feelings and situations take place, from the most intimate moments when you are alone with yourself and your feelings, the hustle and bustle of getting ready and finally the moments of exitement and shared joy and happiness.

Alberto Serna has the sensibility to capture all these instances in a subtle and elegant way, with the deepest respect to feelings and intimacy. His photos are natural, they reflect the emotions of the day through the adequate use of colour and light, he even inserts black and white photographs to accentuate the intense feelings the couple and their loved ones are going through.

We should add that both Isabela and Javier were absolutely delighted with Alberto´s work and how he treated them, and that is something that defines a good professional.  I recommend you visit his blog to learn more about his work.

Jimena Roquero, spanish photographer born in Madrid, and at present living in the US.  Her photos have been published in some of the most prestigious international magazines.  Her passion towards photography comes from her childhood days, as her father loved photography, and she has turned photography not only into her profession but something she deeply loves and that allows her to be in touch with reality and peoples´lives.

Her delicate photos, are a real insight into the soul of those whom she photographs and their way of seeing and experiencing live.  The word I would choose to define her work is sensibility. Her photos are very natural, spontaneous and they really capture the couples´intimacy in a surrounding that they love and means so much to them.

In these photos we are publishing today, Anjie and Jeremiah in the Lower East Side, New York, you can appreciate in full detail that sensibility I mentioned.  The transiction from black and white, to colour is done in an elegant, stylish and even whimsical way.  The colour photos, of armonious shades and delicate taste, reflect the beginning of Winter and the love and complicity of Anjie and Jeremiah.

The three of them, photographer and couple, simply adore New York as you can see from the tasteful and simple images of the couple strolling through the park or cycling over the bridge.  They also open up their doors to a place so intimate as their home so we can have a close look at their style of living and personalities, and all this is done with respect and a caring touch by Jimena Roquero´s camera.

I love those series of photos that seem to fade away and the images where New York´s sky shares the limelight with this lovely couple.

We visited STUDIO FOTO´S web and fell in love both with the work of this charismatic couple of photographers and with the approach they have to photography. We had a look at the lovely pictures they had taken of Emily and Joe´s wedding. It really makes you feel you had been there on the day. You feel identified with each of the special moments they themselves as a couple were living as well as their loved ones. The photos show the intimacy of the day, the joy, the complicity. They are natural and spontaneous.

We love this whimsical wedding with all it´s details, and how photographers Paul and Krystal, a couple themselves, have captured it, as it shows their passion not only for their work but for making people feel happy remembering that special day.

We want to show you some of the photos so you can get a chance of experimenting the same joyful feelings we did when we saw them.

The combination of black and white photos with those in colour is a very good idea as they give us a good insight into what is happening and how people are feeling in each moment.
For instance you get a fair idea of the previous hours to the wedding engagement.
The bride to be with her close friends at the hairdressers or when she is intimate talk with her young daughter, the other real heroine of the day, dressed like a little princess and sharing in in all the events. The details of the bride´s wedding dress or of the bouquet with natural and fabric made flowers…
And what to say about the groom: a round of golf, getting dressed infront of the mirror…

We thought it was a wonderful idea how they used the warm light of the bonfire at the end of the day, to show how they are all relaxed and happy, no more nerves… It couldn´t have ended better !

Some photos that called our attention are the ones of the carriage driving them across the woods, it is so magical, like a scene from the past and the ones with their friends and the parasols, as there is no better way of expressing what you feel than to have a good laugh with your closest friends.

But what we have liked best is, that it was the couples and loved ones day, not the décor or the reception, except for those small details that gave us an insight into their romantic personalities, such as their names on the tree, small lights hanging from branches, the bonfire, musicians… but the importance has been placed on the people themselves, their daughter and her friends, the father of the bride, their close friends and above all the couple and the love they feel for each other.

She has made the right choice by combining the use of black and white techniques with those in colour as it accentuates the importance of every single moment of the day.
The black and white photos give us a good insight into all the previous preparations, the intimacy with loved ones, the significance of what is going to take place.
We like how she inserts into the black and white photos, one of the bride to be, painting her lips as it shows her feminine side.

María Benítez makes the transition from black and white, to colour look so simple and effective. She has chosen colour photos to capture the joy of the day, the spontaneity of the guests and the innate love the newly married couple feel for each other.
