A rainy wedding day can be just as beautiful as any other day. You just have to choose a nice umbrella for yourselves and ask your guests to bring along an umbrella in the colours or designs you decide. Here are some ideas to make the most of a rainy day. Hope you like them !
Why not choose stripes or dots, to give your wedding a chic feel about it.
The bridesmaids all with the same colour umbrella, or everyone with colourful umbrellas ? Both choices look great !
Just look at this couple. Don´t they look cute ?
And don´t forget, just take it easy and enjoy yourselves. All you need is an umbrella, a good pair of boots and plenty sense of humour !

Teresa is a well known fashion designer. Her friends that know her since she was a child, always comment she was fascinated with corals. One day she started experimenting with tin, corals and sea urchins and turned sculpture into her profession. All her work is inspired by nature, as Teresa herself comments ” nature is an ever ending source of inspiration, ideas, sensations, colours and textures for her pieces of art”. A happy and vitalist woman she thoroughly enjoys the process of creation often wondering where it will lead her to. The important thing as she says “is that the end result brings happiness and joy”.
What has this designer got to do with weddings? She produces wonderful sculptures in the shape of wedding bouquets, from metal leaves to sea urchins, corals, and even wood. Once the wedding is over you just need to take your wedding bouquet to her, and Teresa will turn it into an incredible sculpture that you can keep as a fond memory of your wedding in your home. Don´t you agree this is a wonderful idea?
You can see her work at Anmoder (C/ Núñez de Balboa, 7. Madrid)

Every single moment of your wedding day is special. Today I am going to talk about one of these moments, the instance you cut the traditional wedding cake. It is a magical instance, where everyones´eyes are on you, that´s why the wedding cake needs to be not only delicious but also lovely and original to look at. We are very lucky nowadays,as wedding cake designers create marvelous cakes. There is a cake to suit each couple. You can share with your wedding cake designer your ideas, the colours and theme of your wedding and s/he will come up with an unique creation for you, on your wedding day.
In today´s post I would like to show you the work of two of these great designers : Vanilla Bake Shop and Layers Wedding Cakes.
Their wedding cakes are original and very creative, with all sorts of different motifs, shapes, colour combinations and decorative details such as lace, bows, natural flowers. Your wedding cake will blend in perfectly with the rest of your wedding decorations.
You can go for traditional cake toppers in different materials, wood, fabric, porcelain…or choose something different and unusual such as your initials at the top of the cake, or some lovely details like the ones in these photos. A cute pair of birds, a lovely and original china cup…. anything you have in mind.
Nature is always a source of inspiration. Natural flowers and ornaments look great !! I like these two cakes here because of their subtle combination of colours and there simple and elegant designs.
Last, you can always go for unusual shapes and cheerful colours and designs like this lovely cake designed by Layers Wedding Cakes.
