It is always nice to come across the lovely work of talented wedding planners, such as Jeannie Savage, Details  Details. Hers and her teams´ work is original, fresh and innovative. Tasteful and elegant ideas for a wedding in which all the slightest details are taken into account. The result an harmonious and beautiful day no one will forget. Perfeccionist and extremely creative, the weddings they plan are elegant weddings, full of colour, rich texture and imagination. A real dream wedding !
Jeannie is a lovely person, attentive and supportive. As soon as I got in touch with her she was there ready to share all her wide experience with us. Based in Southern California, although she can work anywhere around the world, we thought it would be a great idea if she gave us an insight into weddings by the sea, as they are so popular there. I now leave you with some lovely photos of her recent work and with some kind words on her behalf where she talks about weddings in Southern California. Thanks a lot Jeannie for sharing your work with us !!
“As wedding and event planners in Southern California, we are fortunate to have beautiful luxury resorts so close to the Pacific Ocean. Â About half the weddings we plan annually are not local residents, as many travel from far away for these breath taking spots. Â Many of our clients are from Asia, Europe and many states within the US that have no surrounding water. Â I think sometimes I take for granted the glorious sunsets we have daily. I personally don’t like that close to the water but when I get a chance to see a sunset, I do try to stop and stare!
We are extremely lucky with great year round weather, little rain and humidity provides for wedding ceremonies to take place out doors and even dinner under the stars in the summer months.  Popular coastal cities are Malibu, Santa Monica, Huntington Beach and Laguna Beach, where one can find many hotels and resorts.  With such beautiful backdrops, many brides choose lighter color palettes for their wedding. Any neutral tones work wonderfully with an outdoor setting. You can have a modern clean beach themed wedding or art déco garden wedding with hedges.  The Pacific Ocean is a blank canvas and one that I don’t see going out of trend.”

Each one of us has our own natural charm and personal style. These show in the way we dress, the make-up we use, how we move or even the way we talk. What we all seem to share in common is that we acknowledge that there are certain styles that never seem to fade, an elegant and simple style, such as that of Audrey Hepburn.
You can choose an elegant and simple style like hers for your wedding. In the same way as you take care that every detail of the wedding is harmonious you can make sure that your look is natural and elegant on your wedding day. The secret keep it simple, just a few touches and accessories here and there.
In today´s post I have chosen some inspiring images of Audrey Hepburn, in all her beauty, and a choice  of wedding dresses, hair styles, bouquets… that in my opinion reflect that elegance and simplicity I have been talking about. Hope you like them!
These wedding dresses are from three international designers (Jesús del Pozo, Hannibal Laguna and Oscar de la Renta) and they reflect how they each interpret elegance and simplicity.
For the hair do I have chosen two very natural looks : wavy long hair and a simple plait.
White and pastel colours in your wedding bouquet are a sure bet.
Remember Audrey´s gloves in Sabrina, you will also look spectacular in a pair of either white or black gloves.
And last of all don´t forget that pearls are always a classic to bear in mind.

Pink is a colour that is always in fashion and more nowadays where lots of couples like vintage and romantic weddings. Pink is an ideal colour for these. Today I have chosen some lovely photos of how to incorporate pink on your wedding day. Hope you like them !
For the bride it is a very special day and she has to look great. So I have chosen two of Kat Flower floral arrangements. A headdress and a wedding bouquet. Aren´t they gorgeous !
You can also add pink to your shoes to enhance your dress. Here are two pairs I have specially liked. What do you think about them ?
I think the bridesmaids would look lovely in shade of grey or camel with a pink waistband and a pretty bouquet, matching the bride´s bouquet.
Pink looks great in all sort of containers : crystal containers, silver, black or white china. I particularly like a simple flower arrangement with roses in jars and a flower on each guests napkin.
These small flower arrangements by Kat Flower would look charming on any table or corner as part of the wedding’s decoration.

Autumn and Spring are lovely times of the year to get married but there is always the worry of what the weather will be like. Here I have chosen some wedding dresses from famous Spanish and other international designers. These dresses are all from their latest collections as were seen on the Gaudà and the Cibeles fashionshows as well as the Bridal Fashion Week.
Although you might feel you may want a long sleeve wedding dress, most of the designs I have chosen come with short sleeves or very thin sleeves so that you don´t feel too warm when dancing and moving around.  They are thought to be worn with something nice and warm on top, that you can afterwards take off. Here are some of my favourite designs.  Hope you like them !

When we are thinking about our wedding we want it to be something special, that will surprise our guests and that everyone will remember. We want it to be something personal, that reflects our own personal tastes and feelings. Our wedding invitation is the first thing we need to take into account as it gives our family and friends an insight into what our special day will be like.
The new wedding invitations Azulsahara Collection has been designed to suit everyones´tastes and the latest trend in weddings : a wedding invitation that is original, creative, reflects your personalty and how much you care for your loved ones.
In Azulsahara they are aware that as no two people are alike no two weddings are alike. They have designed a line of invitations “Classic & Vintage” for those who wish their invitations to be not only original but also classic and romantic, and a line “Chic & Trendy” for those who want something modern and different. They have even thought of those who would like to give it an even more personal touch by choosing the “Sweet & Elegant ” line, where you yourself have the chance of choosing colours, folders etc for your pocket invitations.
This new collection will surprise everyone with its stricking, elegant designs and attractive colour combinations. I have chosen some wedding invitations in shades of colours that would look nice for an Autumn wedding. I hope you like them as much as I do !

Browsing through Janie Medley´s blog, The Bride’s Cafe, which you all know I find really fascinating, I came across the superb creations of floral designer Megan Fickling (La Partie Events). I immediately fell in love with her work.  She is talented, passionate, creative and her floral designs are just stricking. I thought our readers ought to see her work so I contacted Megan.  She is a lovely person and she was willing to feature in our blog, which is an honour to us.  Meg told me I could choose the photos I wanted from her blog (which I also recommend, as it is fantastic).  I was overwhelmed by all the beautiful designs I saw so in the end I decided to feature her lovely work in two parts : wedding bouquets and centerpieces floral arrangements. Thanks Meg for being so helpful and kind and thanks to all the wonderful professionals you collaborate with!
Today I have chosen to show you some of Meg´s wedding bouquets. A lovely selection that goes from the more classic and romantic, in pale colours, to glamorous and really colourful bouquets.  I can´t make up my mind which one I like the best. Can you ?
